sizing guide
Here you will find tables stating the manufacturer's guidelines to their sizes. We have also included some tips of our own on selecting the right fit for newborn babies and 'bouncing babies'!
Please note, if you do buy the wrong size and want to do an exchange, you are responsible for returning (unopened) diaper packages to us - please see our returns policy for full details of terms. You may therefore wish to initially order one pack of diapers.
If you require further advice about which sizes to order, please email customercare@ecobotts.ca.

newborn sizing
Getting the fit right for a newborn baby is particularly important because they will be drinking a lot of milk in the early days and consequently peeing a lot! We recommend Broody Chick or Moltex OKO for newborns - both these diapers are designed to deal with heavy-wetters and even have a higher back to deal with infamous newborn blow-outs!
The Moltex OKO Mini size covers a weight range of 6-13 lb and so is so also a good choice for babies with a lower expected birth weight (Nature Babycare starts at 8 lb). As a general guide, babies gain between 1-2 pounds (1/2 to 1 kilogram) per month for the first 6 months. So this size should see you through to at least 2 1/2 - 3 months, depending on your babies rate of growth.
With a little boy, leaks in the early days are more common as many first time mothers don't realise that you need to ensure the urine stream is directed down. A wet waistband is a sure giveaway that this, and not the fit, is the problem!

bouncing baby
At the other end of the scale, if you have a good eater on your hands, Moltex XL (35-66 lb) are the roomiest of the diapers in our range. Remember, just as a diaper which is too large will cause leaks so will a diaper which is too small. Red marks on your baby's legs indicate the fit is too small.
